Social Media Management

GoPhillyGo

GoPhillyGo is a software mapping project from the Philadelphia-area nonprofit Clean Air Council. The app enables the user to get real-time directions to anywhere without a care within a 30-mile radius of downtown Philadelphia.

  • From 2014 to 2016, managed day-to-day operations in growing four social media accounts for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.

  • Established a content calendar outlining posts for regular posting times as much as two weeks in advance.

  • Produce content based on current events, the promotion of designated parks and outdoor venues and posts from the GoPhillyGo blog.

  • Grew the Facebook account to more than 1,000 likes and the Twitter account to more than 750 followers.

  • In 2016, moved away from day-to-day management into paid social growth strategy.

Agostino Couture

Partnered with respected fashion designer Frank Agostino to launch a social media presence for his designs. Established a Facebook page and curated content for his audience of suburban women with higher income. Also expanded into Pinterest just as it was becoming a popular network for fashion-forward users.

  • Photographed newest designs and edited video content for Agostino collections. These photos and videos would be for Mr. Agostino’s look book, behind-the-scenes footage or for area fashion shows. Most projects required Photoshop or video editing knowhow.

  • Wrote social copy for ongoing series involving Mr. Agostino’s pick for best dressed for all popular award shows. This proved to be one of the more popular campaigns among his fans.

  • First client to allow implementation of pay-per-click ad strategies.

  • Continued my role as media manager for Agostino Couture through February 2017.

The Building Industry Association of Philadelphia

The Building Industry of Philadelphia is the city’s foremost building advocacy group. The president wanted to move on from an overpriced communications firm with the intention of getting the association on social media in 2012.

  • Establishing and maintained social pages for the benefit of the BIA’s members. This included writing member and company partner spotlights and paying attention to key topics in the news.

  • Initiated and moderated discussions on the LinkedIn Group page. The organization was an early adopter to this feature on the platform.

  • Efforts concerned advocacy toward issues like the preservation of the City of Philadelphia’s 10-Year Real Estate Tax Abatement, area housing prices and the establishment of the Philadelphia Land Bank—an agency that would track vacant properties and return them to City control for eventual sale.

  • Worked along with the association’s communication’s director to disseminate this content.

  • Continued these duties until September 2015.
